Eating tarmac

Recovering from a spill on a straight bit of road on the bank holiday ride. Like to say it was due to circumstances beyond my control - that I was cut up by a psychotic motorist bent on seperating body from limb, but no. Got a little comfortable in my own little aerodynamic world, then BANG! Wakey wakey! Message to self. Look where you're going.
Thankfully nothing broken and the only shifters and pedals are gone on the bike.
Well, a forced break in the training plan. Nothing I can do about it until the swellings gone down. Certainly no swimming for a week which is a bummer as I need to get in some long sessions. Maybe I'll enter Tonbridge now. A great way to say 'I'm back'!

Sping time...

Week ending 26th March, 11hours total training time. Knee is ok an the inflamation seems to have subsided.
Week ending 2nd April, 15 1/2 hours, which includes commuting to cornwall and football midweek.
Loosened up by 1 hour sports massage on Friday. Carrying heavy backpack down to Portscatho had me in knots again, but it was worth the effort.
Sunday ride was mared by a headwind gusting to 40 mph, but Sunday rode to St. Ives for lunch (Idon't feel guilty about the kip on the beach) and then took the north cornish coast road as far as was possible. From Lands End to Helston, Penzance then back to Falmouth and just reached the King Harry Ferry fr the last crossing or it would have been a painful and cold 2 hour detour.
The trip also incuded an hour coast run. Thanks to Uncle Johnny for the stay.
